Richard Bruce Cheney was born in Lincoln Nebraska on January 30 1941. He was the child of Richard Herbert Cheney and the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. When he was 13 years old, Bruce and his family moved in Casper (in the US state of Wyoming) in Wyoming, where his father served as director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's land conservation districts.
