Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on the 12th of November, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast. She is the only person to be awarded 10/10 marks during an Olympic performance. Bela Karolyi was later Romanian Gymnastics Coach, came across Comaneci as she was only 6 years old. Her first competition was in the National Junior Championships in where she placed 13th in the year 1969. In 1970, Comaneci was crowned champion. In her 1972 first international event in a preolympics junior competition for nations in the Communist bloc, she won 3 gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1975 she was named the all-around Junior Champion. In her very first competition at a senior level Lyudmila Turkishcheva, a Russian athlete, won five gold medals as well with one silver. She was the winner of the American Cup in New York City in 1976 and became the first woman in history to complete a backward double salto as dismounting from the uneven bars that are parallel. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The journey of Carol Wayne in the world of entertainment began in her teens. With her sister Nina Wayne, she joined touring entertainment programs called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a United States citizen, born on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Carol started her career in entertainment as a teenager. When she was a child, she began performing as the figure skater alongside Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. They featured staged ice skating shows.
