Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson (born Kristen Noel Swanson) is an American actor, who gained notoriety for the role of Buffy Summers. Her other characters include: Rebecca Becky Granger, in the television film Nightingales and the short-lived NBC show with the same name; Erica Paget, as Early Edition on CBS and Marlowe Viccellio as Psych. Born in California, she discovered her love for acting when a young child. She started her career acting in commercials as an actress. She debuted on television in an NBCs It's Your Move sitcom episode in 1984. The following year, in the romantic comedy Pretty in Pink of 1986, she made her big-screen debut. Swan, known for her stunning voice and a blonde hair, has appeared in various roles on the side in the past several years. Flowers in the Attic won her the Young Artist Award in the category of Best Young Actress in Horror or Mystery Motion Picture in 1989.
