Jenna Fischer is best known for her role as Pam Beesly on the acclaimed television series The Office, for which she received an Emmy nomination for the Best Supporting Actress and two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance in the Ensemble Comedy.
She was raised primarily in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna was inspired by her mom's performance in church at the time she started her journey.
Following the conclusion of The Office, Fischer, an actress trained in theater, returned to her roots. She played Josh Hamilton in Neil LaBute's Off-Broadway play Reasons to Be Happy. In the following play, she was a part of Steve Martin's Meteor Shower - an absurdist comedy starring Greg Germanyn as well as Josh Stamberg - for the Old Globe Theatre's first world premiere.
The Office actress Angela Kinsey Fischer, who is her real-life best friend and castmate, launched Office Ladies in October 2019 on Earwolf. The podcast became hugely popular and ranked within the Top Ten of the world every week. It had more than 200 million downloads in its initial two years. Office Ladies received the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year Award in January 2021.
She is the writer of two books: The Actor's Life: A Survival Guide that recounts her experience through St. Louis to Hollywood to become a working actor. She is also the author of Office BFF's: Tales of The Office from Two of the Best Friends who were there (co-authored together with Angela Kinsey) The book is the story of their greatest relationship and their time on The Office.
